Hello and welcome to my little part of the blogging world, The Domestic Storyteller. I’m a twenty-two year old graduate from the University of Winchester. I achieved my Upper Second Class degree in Creative Writing in October 2014. Since then, I’ve been starting a new life in Southampton. I’m on the path to following my dreams to be a successful food writer. Whatever other piece I was working on during my time at University, it would always come back to food! It’s my true passion, and not just the eating part. What we eat and where it’s from and what to do with it in the kitchen are all aspects that fascinate me about our food culture. I’m not a trained chef – I’m a writer with a big appetite.
As a graduate trying to stand on my own two feet, I take delight in finding thrifty bargains and conjuring up frugal meals. I post recipes from time to time as I have a gluten-intolerance and often find the best way to get what I’m looking for is to bake it myself.
I have a chap who is the love of my life. We have been going strong for four years and he’s my best friend. My parents live in Glastonbury and are soon to be setting up a B&B in the area. I have one older sister who I am very close to.
My blog is all about breaking through into the writing world, managing my home life and looking as fabulous as possible whilst doing so. I see things, I think about them, I write about them. I post on average around three times a week. Please feel free to ask any questions 🙂

So pleased to have found you via Frugal Queen. Your blog is a firm favourite from now on (only frugal Queen holds this plave in my life so far – so thanks)
You are an AMAZING writer….but I have one super small critique. Have you considered changing your blog’s background? I think it can be tough to read with the pink & white print in the background. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
Hi … I too have just found you … and love the blog. Just a little niggle .. I too find it hard reading the print against the busy pink background … maybe its my age!
Keep up the good work.
Vicky.
Hi Vicky, thank you so much for your comment. I’ve been thinking that my blog needed freshening up, so I hope you like the changes 🙂 Thank you for your kind words and I’m so glad you enjoy reading my posts. Best wishes to you.

I can’t tell you how much your comment about my blog means to me. It warms my heart to know that someone enjoys the blog posts I write. I won’t be passing on the award if that’s okay, but thank you so much for the mention. Best wishes to you.
That’s no problem, I just enjoy the read. 🙂
